Classes and Workshops
Play, experiment, and rediscover how capable and creative you already are.
Let’s play.
In a world increasingly shaped by algorithms and screens, I see artmaking as a direct path to the joy and imperfection that make us wonderfully human.
In my teaching practice, my primary goal is to remind you how capable and creative you already are and to create a space for you to experiment, notice, fail, laugh, and wonder.
From painting to bookbinding, to other mediums and forms of creative play, I invite adults, children, and families to take a class or workshop with me in my East Atlanta home-based studio or one of the local organizations where I teach.

Designed for upper elementary students (typically grades 3rd-5th), Owls after school program inspires young artists with process-based art activities that encourage kids to let their curiosity and interests drive their projects. While exploring a variety of activities from drawing and painting to printmaking and clay, this class allows students to build confidence as they develop skills and techniques across mediums and to connect with a community of other art-loving kids. All supplies included.

Jump on the analog bandwagon and trade your notes app for a handmade notebook! In this basic bookbinding workshop, you’ll learn to create pamphlet stitch books to use as notebooks, journals, or sketchbooks! After learning the basic 3-hole stitch, we’ll cover a double-pamphlet variation as well. These mini notebooks are an ideal size for your purse or tote, and they make perfect holiday gifts for family and friends.

Is your child a prolific artist? If you have piles of artwork too plentiful to display and too precious to discard, this workshop is for you. You will learn how to transform that art into timeless keepsakes and holiday gifts. Bring a stack of your child’s paintings, drawings, coloring pages, and works on paper that you are okay with cutting up (with their permission!). We’ll cut and combine sections to create ornaments, bookmarks, garland, and more (some will depend on what you bring). We will help you honor your child’s creativity through this process of reuse and transformation, but please keep their most groundbreaking masterpieces at home.
